Standing up for people in West Vancouver-Capilano

Honieh Barzegari is a Canadian woman of Iranian origin, physician by training, and strategic leader with more than 20 years of experience spanning medicine, healthcare, life sciences, health technology, business, public policy, government, and governance. She began her career practising medicine in rural communities in Iran, serving underserved populations and seeing firsthand the challenges people face in accessing healthcare and essential services.

After moving to Canada, Honieh built a career at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and business, gaining a practical understanding of innovation, investment, and economic opportunity. She also served as a Ministerial Advisor with the Government of British Columbia, giving her firsthand experience of how government policy affects communities and businesses.

Honieh currently serves on the Langara College Board of Governors and co-chairs KPU’s Health and Science Committee. She brings the perspective of a physician, immigrant, business and healthcare leader, and government advisor, with a commitment to accessible healthcare, innovation, economic opportunity, and practical public service.

Honieh Barzegari, David Eby and the BC NDP have a plan to build BC strong: to create jobs, to protect healthcare, and to make life more affordable.
